An exhibition about exhibitions...

The French Museum of the Legion of Honour ("Le musée de la Légion d’honneur") is rooted in the World's Fair in Paris in 1889 - the same fair which had the newly constructed Eiffel Tower as its main symbol.

The museum has now opened an exhibition that shows its history and the exhibited objects until today.

The exhibition was opened on July 4th this year - admission is free.

Read more on the museum's website.

The museum also recently aquired the Japanese Order of the Chrysanthemum awarded to French president Félix Faure (president 1895-99).
